Some members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Fufore Local Government Area (LGA) of Adamawa State on Wednesday reaffirmed their loyalty to the party’s leadership in the state.

The spokesperson for the group, Afraimu Jingi, said this when they paid a solidarity visit to The PDP executives in Yola.

Mr Jingi, who is also the state commissioner for justice, said PDP had not experienced any significant loss due to defections of a few from the party.

He said their visit to the state’s party chairman, Hamza Madagali, was a symbol of loyalty, unity, and commitment to the progress of PDP in the state.

He stated, “We reaffirmed that Fufore LGA remained a steadfast pillar of the party, rooted in conviction and dedication. Come rain or shine, Fufore LGA stands with the PDP and the administration of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri. Our loyalty is unwavering and time-tested. We have taken into account that we have lost no ground, and no voice has shifted from our last count. We have lost no one significant.’’

Mr Jingi congratulated Mr Madagali on his emergence as the state chairman, saying he deserved it.

He also commended Mr Fintiri for his achievements and making his government a people-centred administration, noting that Adamawa State continued to enjoy peace and visible development under his leadership.

“One clear example in Fufore LGA is the ongoing construction of the Girei–Wuro Bokki road, which is transforming the socio-economic and security landscape of our communities,” the commissioner said.

According to him, the people of Fufore remain indebted to PDP for its commitment to development and inclusion.

Responding, Mr Madagali thanked the group for their solidarity and reaffirmed that PDP remained in full control of Adamawa.

He also described the visit as a clear indication of the group’s loyalty and commitment to the party.

“They are here to tell us that Fufore LGA is 100 per cent with the PDP,” he said.

Mr Madagali, who also spoke about the defection of Joel Madaki, one of the party’s founding members, insisted that critical stakeholders, among others, were still in the party despite his defection.

He also expressed optimism that the party would continue to grow stronger ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He stated, “Our party is getting stronger every day, and by 2027, God willing, PDP will be bigger than any political party in Nigeria.’’
