Ruling house gives KWAM 1 Wednesday deadline to apply for vacant Awujale of Ijebuland stool

The Fusengbuwa Ruling House has given Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde popularly called KWAM1, until Wednesday, to apply for the vacant stool of the Awujale of Ijebuland which he indicated interest in.
In a letter on Thursday to Mr Ayinde, who is the Olori Omo-Oba of Ijebuland, the family head of the ruling house, Lateef Owoyemi, said though the deadline for application submission was Friday, the artiste has until Wednesday to submit his application.
Confirming the receipt of the letter at his residence at Idowa, from Mr Ayinde’s emissary, Prince Adedoyin, Mr Owoyemi said, “Please complete the attached Fusengbuwa Ruling House Individual member’s Particular’s House Linkage Data form, have same witnessed and countersigned by the Head of your Royal Lineage in Fusengbuwa Ruling House, immediately, and return same to me as soon as possible.
“Therefore, please send somebody to collect the Oba Awujale candidate’s Obaship application form and Irrevocable Undertaking for your earliest possible completion and return to me in three clear copies for our further action.
“Please note that all applications are expected to have been received before 5pm on Friday 5th of December 2025. But despite the above stipulated closing time line, I shall exceptionally allow you an extension of three working days, that is, up till 5pm on Wednesday 10th of December 2025, to complete and return your forms.”
Mr Ayinde had in an earlier letter explained that his declaration of interest in the vacant stool was based on his being a bonafide son from the ancestry of the Oba Jadiara lineage.
