Kenya records first case of Ebola, patient dies

Kenyan authorities on Tuesday confirmed the first case of Ebola virus infection in a citizen who lived in the Democratic Republic of Congo for the past seven years.
Kenya’s health minister, Aden Duale, in a press conference, confirmed the Ebola-infected Kenyan citizen died days after arriving in Nairobi.
According to Mr Duale, the patient was screened at the main airport in Nairobi when he boarded a flight on Saturday and was transferred by a family member to a hospital, where the patient tested positive for Ebola Bundibugyo virus.
About 28 people, including family members, who had potential contact with the dead have been identified, Mr Duale said.
Over 4,000 have been killed by the deadly virus, ravaging DR Congo in the past few months.
