NAF graduates 10 remotely piloted aircraft operators

The Nigerian Air Force on Wednesday graduated 10 new remotely piloted aircraft operators, marking a significant milestone in the country’s efforts to enhance its air capabilities.
The air officer commanding at the Tactical Air Command, Patrick Obeya, was the special guest at the Operational Conversion Training Course 4 /2025 at NAF Base, Kaduna.
The report stated that the operators were trained at the 109 Combat Reconnaissance Group NAF and that the graduation ceremony was held at the 233 Wing Hangar in Kaduna.
He commended the chief of the air staff, Sunday Aneke, for his commitment to training and human capacity development. His leadership has enabled this training to happen.
Mr Obeya explained that the operational conversion training had consolidated their fundamental knowledge and prepared them for operational deployment.
He commended the commander of the 109 Combat Reconnaissance Group.
He said the graduation of the new RPA operators was a significant boost to the NAF’s efforts to enhance its air capabilities and contribute to the country’s national security.
The commander of 109 Reconnaissance Group, Augustine Idoko, said the training programme was aimed at developing professional, mission-ready remotely piloted aircraft operators capable of delivering decisive airpower effects.
