Rights activist Okei-Odumakin’s sister dies at 51

The family of Joe Okei-Odumakin, a prominent human rights activist, has announced the demise of his younger sister, Francisca Mebu, nee Okei.

The family of Joe Okei-Odumakin, a prominent human rights activist, has announced the demise of his younger sister, Francisca Mebu, nee Okei.

In a statement on Tuesday, Ms Okei-Odumakin confirmed the death, stating that his sister died on Monday in Abuja.

Ms Mebu was 51.

“We request the public to let the family mourn in private.

“May her soul rest eternally with her maker and guide over her young triplet children and her husband,” the statement said.

The family did not disclose additional details regarding the circumstances of the death.
