PDP begins digital membership registration

The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says digital membership registration of members will commence across all wards in the 36 states on Monday, March 2.
The party’s national publicity secretary, Ini Ememobong, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday in Abuja.
Mr Ememobong said the digital registration of the party members would last for three weeks.
He said the essence of the exercise was to compile the digital membership register in compliance with the Electoral Act 2026, which required all political parties to submit their members’ digital registers to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Mr Ememobong said the registration would be held every day, except on Sundays, at all wards, chapters and state offices of the party throughout the registration period.
He noted that special cases will be handled at the national secretariat.
“A special committee headed by the national organising secretary, Mr Theophilus Daka Shan, has been set up to oversee the exercise and handle any complaints that may emanate therefrom,’’ he said.
The publicity secretary urged party members and the general public to visit the nearest PDP office within their ward to register.
“For more information and enquiries, please call 08035555800 or send an email: emailnfo@iampdp.org,’’ he added.
