United Nigeria Airlines joins IATA Clearing House

United Nigeria Airlines (UNA) has announced its official admission into the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Clearing House (ICH).
This is contained in a statement by the Public Relations Officer, Chibuike Uloka, on Friday in Lagos.
The statement said the company joined the prestigious global network of carriers utilising the ICH for secure and efficient financial settlement for transactions from February 1.
The statement said the milestone would enable UNA to settle interline billings, including passenger and cargo transactions, through a secure and centralised global settlement system.
“This admission reinforces our commitment to international best practices and operational transparency. While ICH membership facilitates seamless financial settlement between carriers, it serves as the foundation for our broader strategy to establish interline and codeshare partnerships.
“This development is central to our mission of flying to unite, expand connectivity and provide our passengers with world-class service as we grow our regional and international footprints.
“For the airline, this development will allow seamless financial transactions with international carriers, opportunities for interline and codeshare partnerships, enhanced credibility and global recognition and improved services for the airline passengers,” it said.
