Governor Ahmed Ododo has urged Muslims to use the Eid-el-Fitr celebration to promote love, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.

Mr Ododo made the call in a statement on Friday, while extending warm greetings to Muslims in the state.

He restated the importance of the values of sacrifice, obedience, humility, and faith, which are central to the sallah celebration.

The governor also called on residents to pray for the peace, unity, and stability of Nigeria.

Mr Ododo urged the people to offer support to  President  Bola Tinubu as he leads the nation through critical reforms.

“Eid-el-Fitr is a moment of deep reflection on the lessons of Ramadan: self-discipline, compassion for one another, and total submission to the will of Allah,” he said.

Mr Ododo assured Muslims in the state of his government’s commitment to improving their welfare, strengthening security, and delivering on its promises.

“I wish you a joyful and peaceful Sallah celebration. Eid Mubarak!” he said.
