President Donald Trump on Tuesday celebrated Nigerians who paraded the street of Owerri on October 25 to rally round in support of his second term ambition.

Mr. Trump in a tweet on Election Day, tweeted “A parade for me in Nigeria, a great honor!,” acknowledging the rally of members of the Living Christ Mission Inc.

Despite his signature controversies, Mr. Trump enjoys a large support base in Nigeria, especially across the south, where he is seen as a firm and conservative leader.

Mr. Trump is locked in electoral battle with former vice-president Joseph Biden of the democratic party in an election many analysts have termed to be “too close” to call.

The election taking place across the 50 states will be decided by who gets at least 270 electoral college votes.
