Nasarawa assembly urges Governor Sule’s appointees to be above board
The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has urged Isa Habis, administrator of the Gadabuke council, and Abdul Ogu, member of the Giza council, to be above board in discharging their duties.
Danladi Jatau, the speaker of the House, made the call during the screening and confirmation of the officers on Monday in Lafia.
Mr Jatau urged the appointees to key into the development vision of Governor Abdullahi Sule for their respective councils and the state at large.
He congratulated them on their appointments and advised them to provide inclusive leadership at the grassroots.
The speaker further directed the clerk of the House to produce a clean copy of the resolution for onward transmission to Mr Sule for necessary action.
The majority leader of the House, Suleiman Azara, moved a motion to screen and confirm the nominees, which was seconded by the minority leader, Luka Zhekaba.
The lawmakers unanimously confirmed Messrs Habis and Ogu.
The Gadabuke council’s former administrator, Jibrin Maiwada,died in March after a brief illness.
