The Commissioner of Police in charge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Ahmed Sanusi, has inspected security deployments at selected Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) computer-based test (CBT) centres in Abuja.

The FCT police public relations officer, Josephine Adeh, said this in a statement on Thursday in Abuja, noting that the exercise was part of proactive security measures for the ongoing examinations.

She said the inspection was aimed at ensuring the smooth, peaceful, and hitch-free conduct of the examinations scheduled to hold between April 16 and 18.

According to her, during the inspection, the commissioner of police assessed security arrangements put in place to protect candidates, examination officials, and facilities.

She added that he also interacted with centre supervisors, assuring them of adequate security presence throughout the period and reaffirming the command’s commitment to maintaining law and order.

Ms Adeh said the CP warned that any attempt to disrupt the examination process would be met with decisive action in accordance with the law.

She further reiterated the command’s commitment to the protection of lives and property and urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities through designated emergency lines, 08032003193 or 08061581938.
