The federal government is set to arraign six suspected coup plotters. The case is listed as number 14 on Wednesday’s cause list before Justice Joyce Abdulmalik.

The federal government, through the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation, filed the charge, marked FHC/ABJ/CR/206/2026, against the defendants.

The suspects are Mohammed Ibrahim Gana (retd), Erasmus Ochegobia Victor (retd), Ahmed Ibrahim, Zekeri Umoru, Bukar Kashim Goni and Abdulkadir Sani, listed as the first to sixth defendants, respectively.

Although the former deputy petroleum minister, Timipre Sylva, was not named as a defendant in the charge, he was listed as being at large.

Meanwhile, only Mr Sani, the sixth suspect and a cleric in Zaria, was in court. Other suspects have yet to be brought to court.
