Nollywood veteran Sola Sobowale’s daughter weds in Ibadan

Veteran Nollywood actress Sola Sobowale’s daughter, Mimi, has tied the knot with her partner, Francis Kunlay, at a wedding ceremony held in Ibadan.

The event, which took place on Saturday, had prominent figures from Nigeria’s entertainment industry in attendance.

Guests were treated to live music performances by gospel singer Yinka Ayefele and Fuji artiste Adewale Ayuba.

Among the notable attendees were Oyo State Governor, Oluseyi Makinde, and Nollywood stars Shaffy Bello, Aisha Lawal, Toyosi Adesanya, Femi Adebayo, Nancy Isime, and Toke Makinwa.

Sharing moments from the ceremony on Instagram, Ms Sobowale posted a video of the couple dancing with the caption, “#MIKUN2026 E ma ba ara yin kale ni o!,” a Yoruba phrase wishing the couple a lasting marriage.

Ms Sobowale, an actress, screenwriter, and film director, is known in Nigeria’s film industry for her performances and directing.
