Again, another 22-year-old female Indian student stabbed to death in Canada

A 22-year-old Indian student, Vidhi Megha, has been stabbed to death in Canada’s Niagara region.
Police said the student was attacked on May 15 when she stepped out of her residence.
They noted that the Indian national was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors confirmed her dead on arrival.
Reports noted that that Ms Megha had lived in Canada for four years, studying law and working part-time before the incident.
She was also said to be preparing to apply for permanent residency.
Police added that the case was being investigated as a possible robbery, with a 40-year-old suspect already arrested.
The incident has renewed concerns over the safety of Indian students abroad as the Indian community in Canada called for justice into the incident.
In a video reviewed by The Gazette, mourners were seen consoling the family of the young student.
A woman said to be her mother was inconsolable as family members comforted her.
Recall that in March, the Peoples Gazette reported that three Indian nationals across three Canadian provinces: Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia were murdered in one week.
