Yinka Oyebode, Special Adviser on Media to Governor Biodun Oyebanji, has said that the presence of twelve All Progressives Congress (APC) governors, as well as the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on political matters, Ibrahim Masari, in the state, was to show solidarity with the governor and flag bearer of the ruling party in the country.

Mr Oyebode, on Friday, in a chat with the Peoples Gazette, said the APC governors in the state are members of the party’s national campaign council, adding that their physical presence was to express support for the party’s candidate.

According to the spokesman, “Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State, Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State, Governor Agbo Kefas of Taraba State and Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State” were all present in the state.

Others are “Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq of Kwara State, Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State and Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State.”

A video obtained by the Gazette showed Mr Oyebanji welcoming Mr Oborevwori, who turned 63 on Friday, with a birthday chant, while a cake was cut in honour of the celebrant at the governor’s office in Ado-Ekiti.
