NAPPS plans members’ enrolment in Kaduna contributory health scheme

The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Kaduna State chapter, has expressed its commitment to enrolling its members and staff into the State Contributory Health Scheme (KADCHS) to reduce out-of-pocket healthcare spending.
The Chairman of the association, Busayo Adetuji, made this known on Thursday during a working visit to the Director-General of the State Contributory Health Management Authority (KADCHMA), Abubakar Hassan, in Kaduna.
Mr Adetuji said that the visit was a follow-up to discussions held earlier this year during a critical stakeholders’ engagement between the association and KADCHMA.
According to him, enrolling in the scheme remains one of the best decisions any organisation can make due to the numerous benefits it offers, particularly in providing access to quality healthcare services and promoting the well-being of members and staff.
He noted that the association was committed to working closely with KADCHMA to ensure that private school proprietors across the state take advantage of the health insurance scheme.
Responding, the Director-General of KADCHMA, Abubakar Hassan, commended the association for its interest in the scheme and reaffirmed the authority’s readiness to partner with organisations, groups, and individuals whose efforts contribute to improving the living conditions of people in Kaduna State.
He stated that KADCHMA was fully committed to conducting extensive sensitisation and awareness campaigns for members of the association across the three senatorial zones of the state.
He said the initiative would enable members to gain a better understanding of the scheme and its benefits.
Mr Hassan urged other associations and organisations in the state to emulate NAPPS by enrolling their members in the scheme, emphasising that health insurance remains a sustainable way of ensuring access to affordable and quality healthcare services.
