The Lagos State government has signed a concession agreement for the business process automation of the Motor Vehicle Administration Agency (MVAA) as well as the operation and maintenance of the ‘MyLagosApp’.

The state’s ministry of transportation disclosed in a statement on Friday that the agreement was signed by the state commissioner for transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi; the permanent secretary of MVAA, Rasheed Muri-Okunola; the special adviser, Office of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP), Bukola Odoe; and the concessionaires.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Osiyemi said the initiative would simplify and speed up vehicle registration by eliminating cumbersome processes, making service delivery more efficient for Lagos residents.

“The agreement will also strengthen the MyLagosApp, ensure Lagos residents continue to receive timely traffic updates and other important information about activities across the state,” he said.

Also, Mr Odoe urged the concessionaires to fully implement the agreement and deliver quality services that would benefit all Lagos residents.
