Gov Abiodun pays condolence visit to ex-finance minister Kemi Adeosun over husband’s death
Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, on Sunday, paid a condolence visit to a former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, following the demise of her husband, Anthony Adeniyi Adeosun.
Mr Abiodun, in a statement, described the late ex-minister’s husband as “a respected businessman and devoted Christian who lived a life of faith, service and commitment to his family.”
“His passing is undoubtedly a great loss, not only to his immediate family but also to all those whose lives he touched,” the governor said.
He prayed that God would comfort the former minister and the entire family, while wishing the family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“May God grant Mr Anthony Adeniyi Adeosun eternal rest and may his soul rest in perfect peace. Amen,” Mr Abiodun said.
The Peoples Gazette previously reported that Mr Adeosun died last Wednesday in Lagos at the age of 62.
The family, on Sunday, announced the burial arrangements of the deceased in a post on the former minister’s Instagram page.
The deceased’s night of tributes will be held on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. at Harbour Point Event Centre, Wilmot Point Road, Victoria Island, Lagos.
According to the family, the funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the RCCG City of David, Trinity Towers, Victoria Island, Lagos.
