Ex-finance minister Kemi Adeosun’s husband for burial Thursday

The family of the late Anthony Adeniyi Adeosun, husband of former finance minister Kemi Adeosun, has announced his burial arrangements.
Mr Adeosun’s funeral details were released on Sunday in a post on the former minister’s Instagram page.
The family, in a statement signed by Rev. C.A. Adeosun, said the deceased lived a life defined by hard work, service to God and an unwavering commitment to his family and community.
“It is with profound sorrow, yet in total submission to the will of Almighty God, that the Adeosun family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father, and brother, Mr Anthony Adeniyi (Niyi) Adeosun, who was called home to glory on Wednesday, 5th August 2026, in Lagos.
“He was 62 years old. Niyi was a distinguished businessman and a devoted Christian whose integrity, generosity, and steadfast faith touched the lives of all who knew him,” the family said.
The deceased’s night of tributes will be held on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. at Harbour Point Event Centre, Wilmot Point Road, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the RCCG City of David, Trinity Towers, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Attendees are expected to wear white and blue on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, for the funeral arrangements.
The Peoples Gazette reported that the former minister’s husband died last Wednesday in Lagos State.
Mr Adeosun is survived by his wife, children and siblings, including Adewale Adeosun, founder of Kuramo Capital.
