Chieftains and supporters of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun on Monday celebrated the party’s 2027 governorship candidate, Solomon Adeola, at 57.

The birthday celebration was held at Ilaro, Yewa South council area, with party leaders, traditional rulers, clerics, friends and associates in attendance.

The event attracted APC stakeholders from the three senatorial districts and speakers described it as an occasion to celebrate Adeola’s contributions to governance, party unity and development.

Gboyega Isiaka, the chairman of the occasion and member representing Yewa North/Imeko Afon federal constituency, commended Adeola’s contributions to governance and party cohesion.

Mr Isiaka described Adeola as a bridge-builder and detribalised leader whose commitment to Ogun’s development had earned him widespread support.

“This represents a moment of unity, appreciation, and renewed commitment to the party’s vision for Ogun state ahead of 2027,” he said.

He also commended Adeola’s legislative record at the National Assembly and his empowerment initiatives, which he said positively impacted many residents of the state.

The speaker of the Ogun House of Assembly, Oludaisi Elemide, who led other lawmakers to the event, also praised Adeola’s leadership style and legislative achievements.

Mr Elemide said Adeola’s contributions to public service had continued to raise the standard of leadership, adding that his absence was due to his current engagement in the United States.

He prayed for God’s protection, wisdom and long life for Adeola, saying Ogun would benefit from his experience and vision.

The national president of the Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers,  Victor Longe, described Adeola as a close friend and leader of uncommon capacity.

Mr Longe commended the senator’s consistency, generosity and commitment to human capital development, urging APC members to remain united behind leaders committed to delivering results.

The celebration featured prayers, cultural performances and goodwill messages from APC leaders, traditional rulers, clerics and associates.

The organisers said the gathering reaffirmed the goodwill and support enjoyed by Adeola across Ogun state as he prepares for the 2027 governorship election.
