Ogogo: APC governorship candidate offers medical assistance to Nollywood actor battling cancer

Nollywood actor Taiwo ‘Ogogo’ Hassan, who is battling stage four cancer, has been admitted to a hospital for medical treatment.
Mr Hassan’s colleague, Toyosi Adesanya, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, adding that the development followed Solomon Adeola’s intervention.
Mr Adeola is the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Ogun state.
“Distinguished Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, the Ogun West senator and APC governorship candidate for Ogun State, has facilitated urgent medical assistance for the Nollywood veteran actor Alhaji Taiwo Taiwo Hassan (Ogogo),” Ms Adesanya stated.
The actress, who noted that Mr Adeola personally reached out to top cancer specialists, added that the actor had now been “admitted to the operating theatre for treatment”.
“We pray for a successful procedure, complete recovery, renewed strength and many more years of good health for our beloved Nollywood legend.
“A huge thank you to everyone who has prayed, offered suggestions, shared the appeal and shown concern for Ogogo. May God bless you all. Ogogo, we are standing with you. You will come out stronger!” she stated.
A video of Mr Hassan’s daughter, Shakira Taiwo, crying and begging for medical help for her ailing father surfaced on social media on Monday.
On Tuesday, Mr Hassan’s colleagues, including Muyiwa Ademola, Femi Adebayo, Dayo Amusan, Adebimpe Oyebade and others, sought urgent medical intervention for the actor.
