Don Jazzy hails Ayra Starr, says ‘she has changed my life’
Nigerian record producer and singer, Michael Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, says Afrobeats star, Sarah Aderibigbe, known as Ayra Starr, has changed his life.
The Mavin boss said this on X, responding to a fan who applauded his role in Ayra Starr’s career.
“She has most definitely changed my own life too,” he stated. “I bless the day I was shown her Instagram freestyle o. And she has been nothing but a dream Starrgirl.”
Don Jazzy discovered Ayra Starr through her viral freestyles on social media before signing her to Mavin Records.
Ayra Starr dropped her third album, Starrgirl, on the penultimate Friday.
The 16-track body of work boasts appearances from Wizkid and Rema, plus global stars ZAYN, Leon Thomas, kwn, Theodora, and Danny Ocean.
The album also features Wizkid on ‘Gimme Dat’ and Rema on ‘Who’s Dat Girl’.
