Culture minister Musawa visits Ogogo’s family

Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, paid a condolence visit to the family of Taiwo Hassan, aka Ogogo.

Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, has paid a condolence visit to the family of Taiwo Hassan, aka Ogogo.

The actor was buried last Monday in his hometown in Ilaro, Ogun State, after losing the battle to stage-four cancer.

The minister said in a statement that the late veteran’s death was a great loss to his family, colleagues, fans, and the wider Nigerian creative community, while she acknowledged his contribution to the arts

Ms Musawa said, “The passing of Ogogo is a great loss to his family, colleagues, fans and the wider Nigerian creative community. His remarkable contribution to Nollywood and his dedication to the Nigerian arts will remain an important part of our creative heritage

“On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, I extend my deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. May God grant the family the strength to bear this painful loss and grant his soul eternal rest. We mourn with the family, we honour his legacy, and we pray for comfort in this difficult time.”

Mr Hassan died at the age of 66.
