Everton bid for Monaco striker Folarin Balogun

English Premier League side, Everton Football Club, on Monday made a £40 million bid to sign AS Monaco of France and United States striker, Folarin Balogun.
Everton’s move for Balogun followed Beto’s £15 million move to Serie A side Fiorentina.
Balogun in the 2025-26 season, scored 19 goals and four assists in 43 matches across all competitions.
At the 2026 FIFA World Cup jointly hosted by the U.S., Canada and Mexico, Balogun scored three goals in four games before the U.S. got eliminated by Belgium in the round of 16.
Balogun was shown a red card for serious foul play against a Bosnia-Herzegovina player in the round of 32, which was an automatic suspension.
However, FIFA’s disciplinary committee suspended his ban for a year, which attracted condemnations after it was revealed that President Donald Trump and White House officials called Gianni Infantino, to overturn the dismissal.
