TCN announces nine-hour transformer oil leakage sealing at Katampe substation
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) said its maintenance crew will seal oil leakage from a transformer at the 330/132/33kV Katampe transmission substation in Abuja.
The announcement was contained in a statement on Saturday, noting that the maintenance work was scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m and end at 7:00 p.m.
It stated that during the maintenance some circuits would be impacted.
“Consequently, AEDC will be unable to offtake electricity from some feeders to its electricity customers fed from the transformer,” it said.
The TCN apologised for any inconvenience the temporary interruption might cause electricity consumers in the affected areas.
