Ogun police launch manhunt for man over alleged sexual assault of teenager

The Ogun state police command has ordered an immediate manhunt for one Kola following an allegation of sexual molestation involving a 17-year-old teenage boy.
This was disclosed on Wednesday by Oluseyi Babaseyi, the command’s spokesman, who said the case was formally reported at the Adigbe Police Division on Tuesday at about 5:00 p.m.
“The teenage boy, who was accompanied by his parents, alleged that one Mr. Kola sexually assaulted him on three occasions in January 2026 and threatened him into silence,” he said.
Mr Babaseyi said the boy was taken to a hospital within the Adigbe axis for medical examination, while detectives commenced investigations.
The command stressed that the matter only came to the police’s attention upon the report made on September 8, 2026.
He added that Mr Kola was presently at large and that the state’s police commissioner, Bode Ojajuni, had directed detectives to intensify efforts to locate and arrest him on sight.
