Gov Yusuf directs security to fish out killers of social media influencer

Governor Abba Yusuf has condemned the killing of social media influencer Ibrahim Khalil, aka Danshagamu and directed security forces to fish out the killers.
On Wednesday, Mr Danshagamu was found in a pool of his blood at his home in Gaida, Kumbotso area of the state.
In a statement on Wednesday, Sanusi Bature Dawakin, the governor’s spokesman, said Mr Yusuf directed security agencies to fish out those responsible for the crime immediately.
Mr Yusuf said the killing was shocking and unacceptable, expressing concern over the circumstances surrounding the incident and calling for a thorough investigation to ensure that all those involved are brought to justice.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and associates of the deceased, praying to God to forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest.
He urged the people of Kano to remain calm and avoid taking the law into their own hands, assuring them that the government would continue to work with security agencies to protect lives and property across the state.
The governor urged the relevant security agencies, particularly the State Security Service and police, to intensify efforts to identify, arrest and prosecute the perpetrators.
He stressed that no individual or group would be allowed to take the law into their own hands.
