British wrestler Benjamin Satterley, popularly known as Pac in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and Neville in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), is dead.

He was 40.

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) announced his death on Sunday in a statement on social media, a day after his performance at AEW’s “All Out” pay-per-view event in Chicago, at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

The statement read, “All Elite Wrestling is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac. A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organizations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability.

“Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW Championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history. Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends, and fans.”

The circumstances behind his death are yet to be disclosed.

AEW president Tony Khan said, “Benjamin Satterley defined excellence, as a beloved husband & friend to his many loved ones, plus in his wrestling knowledge, skill, unprecedented athleticism, professionalism, consistency, plus dedication to the sport that he loved & traveled the world to pursue. May Ben rest in peace.”

Satterley’s professional wrestling career began in 2004 in England under the name Pac.

He gained international recognition following his success in the UK and later joined WWE in 2014, rising to become a notable star in the WWE NXT division before joining WWE’s main roster.

After winning several titles in WWE, he departed in 2018 and joined AEW using his old name, Pac, and formed the Death Triangle with Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fénix.

Satterley’s demise has drawn tributes from colleagues, family, friends and fans, who have expressed their disbelief at his death.

WWE Hall of Famer and chief content officer of WWE, Triple H, described him as a “major force” in the early era of WWE NXT, adding that he was “an extraordinary talent and even kinder human being.”
