I enjoyed myself in Europe; I’m back, healthy, fit for work: Tinubu
President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday said he enjoyed his vacation in Europe and is back, healthy and fit to resume work, dismissing rumours that he was sick.
Mr Tinubu, on arrival at the presidential wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, told journalists he was back in the country, healthy and fit for office.
“I enjoyed myself,” Mr Tinubu said when asked how his vacation trip to Europe was.
When asked about the rumour that he was not feeling well during his vacation, Mr Tinubu dismissed it as a usual thing in politics.
“I am back. Ready to kick. Ready to work. There is nothing wrong. Rumour will always emanate from politics. But the fact is I am here, healthy, sound, and ready to go,” Mr Tinubu said.
Mr Tinubu returned to the country almost a month after leaving for action on August 30.
He extended his return date twice during his almost month-long vacation trip to Europe.
