Kensington Killing: Charles Egonye charged with murder after man found dead on North Pole Road
Two people have been charged with murder following the death of a 24-year-old man in North Kensington, London.
The Metropolitan police said Charles Egonye, 19, of Wulfstan Street, W12, and a 17-year-old boy from the Southall area were charged on Wednesday, September 30.
The suspects would appear before Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (today) after they were arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday.
The police said, “A murder investigation was launched after police were called at around 01:20hrs on Friday, 25 September to reports that a man had been found seriously injured on North Pole Road.”
Officers visited the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man was later identified as 24-year-old Kariem Abdelhalim.
Police said Mr Abdelhalim’s next of kin were being supported by specialist officers.
