2027: INEC’s upload of our logo ended campaign uncertainty, says NDC

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) says the uploading of its approved party logo by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has cleared the uncertainty surrounding its candidates’ campaign activities.
The NDC leader, Seriake Dickson, in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday, said the development followed a High Court order that affirmed the party’s approved logo as ratified by its National Executive Committee (NEC).
He commended the judiciary, INEC Chairman Joash Amupitan and the commission’s officials for complying with the court judgment.
Mr Dickson also praised NDC National Chairman, Moses Cleopas, NEC members, candidates and party members for their efforts in securing the development.
According to him, the uploading of the logo will enable NDC candidates to print campaign materials and proceed with consultations and campaigns across the country.
He said the party remained determined to see the electoral process through, stressing that it had resisted efforts to use the judiciary to undermine the party.
“We are fighters and we will fight until the end,” he said.
The NDC leader urged all candidates to work closely with the party at every level in constituting their campaign teams, stressing that they were not independent candidates.
He warned against actions that could undermine the party’s collective efforts, urging candidates to avoid self-sabotage as campaigns gather momentum.
Mr Dickson also urged members to guard against what he described as propaganda, misinformation and rumours aimed at creating divisions within the party.
He said the NDC was founded on vision, dedication and commitment to democratic ideals, adding that it would continue to defend Nigerians’ democratic rights and promote multiparty democracy.
Mr Dickson called on all candidates to take their messages freely to Nigerians across the country without intimidation.
