The Transmission Company of Nigeria says it will interrupt electricity supply in parts of Abuja for planned maintenance at its 132/33kV Kubwa Substation.

In a statement on Wednesday, TCN said the interruption will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to enable maintenance crews to replace faulty NIPP feeders.

The company said its maintenance crew would replace a faulty 33kV NIPP feeder circuit breaker and a punctured yellow-phase current transformer with new units.

“Consequently, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will be unable to offtake electricity supply to customers in Kubwa, Bwari, Army Resettlement, parts of Dutse Alhaji and adjoining areas during the maintenance period,” it said.
