Gov Mbah appoints Richard Agu as transport commissioner

Governor Peter Mbah has approved the appointment of Richard Agu, chairman of the board of Enugu Air, as commissioner-designate for the Enugu State Ministry of Transport.
Mr Mbah announced the appointment in a statement by Chidiebere Onyia, secretary to the state government, on Wednesday.
Mr Onyia said, “In accordance with the provisions of the law, his name has been forwarded to the Enugu State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.”
Mr Agu replaced Obi Ozor as the new commissioner for transport.
Mr Ozor resigned following an alleged Economic and Financial Crimes Commission probe for embezzlement of funds amounting to billions of naira.
