PariPesa enters Nigerian club football with Inter Lagos FC deal

Mr Obadimu highlighted the importance of building closer relationships with local audiences.

PariPesa has taken another step in the development of its African football strategy by becoming the Official Betting Partner of Inter Lagos Football Club for the NPFL 2026/2027 season.

The agreement marks PariPesa’s first partnership with a Nigerian football club, giving the brand a new platform within the domestic game.

PariPesa will also feature on Inter Lagos’ official first-team shirts during the season, helping increase the brand’s visibility across matches, club communications and football-related content.

Combining Sponsorship with Fan Engagement

The partnership has been designed to extend beyond traditional brand placement.

Inter Lagos and PariPesa will collaborate on digital campaigns, competitions, giveaways and matchday initiatives intended to create regular interaction with supporters.

The partnership will also allow PariPesa to develop content connected directly to a Nigerian club, its players and its football community.

PariPesa Country Manager, Damilare Obadimu, highlighted the importance of building closer relationships with local audiences.

“Football has a unique ability to bring people together, and that is exactly why this partnership is important for us. Inter Lagos gives PariPesa an opportunity to connect with fans in a more local and meaningful way, while creating exciting content and experiences around the game,” he said.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Inter Lagos Football Club, Lanre Vigo,  added “We are pleased to welcome PariPesa as the Official Betting Partner of Inter Lagos Football Club. The partnership brings together two brands with a strong interest in football and fan engagement, and we look forward to creating new experiences for our supporters throughout the season.”

From African Football Partnerships to the Nigerian Game

PariPesa has already developed several football partnerships targeting audiences across Africa.

The company works with Yaya Touré as Brand Ambassador, while Olympique de Marseille is PariPesa’s Regional Africa Partner.

The agreement with Inter Lagos expands this approach by establishing a direct relationship with Nigerian club football.

By combining major international football partnerships with a local Nigerian collaboration, PariPesa can engage with football audiences across different parts of the fan journey – from global football personalities to supporters following their club every week.

Further activities connected to the partnership will be rolled out during the NPFL 2026/2027 season.
