Political campaigns, rallies, posters and any other electioneering remain banned on campus, says the University of Lagos.

The institution reiterated its position in a statement on Thursday, noting that it is a non-partisan academic entity.

UNILAG pointed out that the restriction is not limited to political gatherings. It restated its ban on pasting political banners, handbills, stickers, and other campaign materials on school-owned property.

The university said its directive applied to all associations, unions and groups on campus, urging them to remain non-partisan in all their activities.
