Lagos mosque sealed over noise pollution

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed Ifelodun mosque following an enforcement operation over alleged noise pollution.
The agency made the disclosure while reiterating that noise pollution regulations apply to all institutions, regardless of their religious affiliation.
In a statement, LASEPA stressed that noise pollution had nothing to do with religion, adding that complaints would be investigated and appropriate action taken in accordance with the law.
The agency said its enforcement activities were aimed at protecting residents from environmental disturbances and ensuring compliance with noise control regulations.
It also urged Lagos residents to report cases of noise pollution to LASEPA through its official account, @LasepaOfficial, or contact its General Manager, Dr Tunde Ajayi, via @thetundeajayi.
The agency maintained that no institution would be exempt from environmental regulations when complaints were established.
