Police begin search for five siblings kidnapped at gunpoint

The police in Abuja on Thursday said they have deployed heavy personnel to search and rescue five siblings abducted by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers in Abuja.
The siblings were abducted during the wee hours of Wednesday in Pegi village along Kuje Area Council, police said in a statement sent to Peoples Gazette.
The police said they deployed a heavy detachment of personnel and equipment to rescue the five persons kidnapped in the wee hours of November in a village along the Pegi axis.
According to a Daily Trust report, the siblings, between nine and 22 years, were kidnapped around 11:00 p.m. on Monday when an unconfirmed number of gunmen invaded their residence in an estate.
The report noted that the gunmen who are suspected to be kidnappers, operated for over 20 minutes with impunity shortly after they fled with the children.
However, the police said the victims would soon be reunited with their family members.
