#EndSARS activist Eromosele released from detention

The police in Lagos have freed Eromosele Adene, an #EndSARS protester who was arrested from his residence two weeks ago.
Mr. Adene was arrested on November seven before his mother and sister at their residence in Lagos, Peoples Gazette reported.
He was subsequently moved to Abuja by the police, but was again returned to Lagos after officers found it difficult to charge him in the nation’s capital.
A magistrate’s court in Yaba, Lagos, granted the #EndSARS activist bail on Tuesday, but the police declined to immediately free him. Widespread protests for his release intensified online, forcing the police to finally free him on Thursday afternoon.
He was charged with cybercrime for his role in organising Nigeria’s historic #EndSARS protests, eliciting widespread outrage from Nigerians, with many saying his arrest was politically motivated and an abuse of power. It was unclear when he would be returning to court.
