Men rob Ogun factory with toy gun

Two robbery suspects, Edehikenna Stanley and Segun Tope have been arrested while robbing at a company situated at Ota Industrial Estate, Ogun State, with a toy gun.
The police spokesman in Ogun, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said on Sunday that the two suspects were arrested on October 30.
He said they were arrested after the police received a distress call at Onipanu Divisional Headquarters at about 3:00 a.m.
The robbers were said to have invaded the company and were holding the security men hostage.
“Upon the distress call, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Bamidele Job, mobilised his men and moved to the scene.
“On sighting the policemen, the hoodlums who had stolen two industrial batteries took to flight, but they were hotly chased and two of them were apprehended,” he stated.
Mr Oyeyemi stated that two industrial batteries, a toy gun which they used to instil fear in the security men and two knives were recovered from the duo.
The suspects have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation.
