Congress: APC Youths Coalition endorses Danfulani as chairman

The Coalition of Zamfara All Progressives Congress (APC) Youths Coalition has endorsed Tukur Danfulani to be the party’s next chairman in the state.
Mr Danfulani, the former acting chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara, defected to the APC following Governor Bello Matawalle’s defection to the party.
Speaking at a press conference in Gusau on Thursday, the coalition chairman, Najeeb Azzamfary, said, “We all agreed on Danfulani’s candidature to be our new state APC chairman in the upcoming state congress of our great party on Saturday, considering his record of political progress in the state during his stewardship when he was acting state PDP chairman. We consider him to be our next state APC chairman for his efforts in building the APC in the state since Governor Bello Matawalle’s defected to the party.”
He said Mr Danfulani was well known to the average Zamfara citizen, describing him as a young and agile politician who has grassroots political experience in line with the political ideology of Mr Matawalle.
Mr Azzamfary added, “Zamfara APC leadership, led by Governor Matawalle, needs a leader who is not only loyal but honest with full political ideas to promote Zamfara to the next level.”
He called on APC stakeholders in Zamfara, especially delegates from the 14 local government areas of the state, to unite and support Mr Danfulani as the new chairman in the forthcoming APC congress.
