APC Senator Abbo caught in another slapping scandal of Adamawa resident

Elisha Abbo has been caught in another assault fallout in his home Adamawa State, according to a video that surfaced overnight.
Mr. Abbo, who was elected as a PDP senator but joined the ruling APC last week, was said to have slapped a man in Mubi over yet-unknown provocation. The origin of the video was not immediately clear, but it appeared to have been posted first online by entertainment bloggers at GistReel.Â
The victim could not be immediately identified and Mr. Abbo did not return a request seeking comments from Peoples Gazette about the altercation.
The assault came about 18 months after Mr. Abbo made headlines after being caught on camera landing multiple slaps on a woman at an adult toy shop in Abuja, Premium Times reported.
Mr. Abbo apologised for his conduct and promised to be a better citizen going forward. The Senate raised a panel to investigate him, the panel’s findings remained concealed from the public by Senate President Ahmed Lawan.
In September, a federal judge asked Mr. Abbo to pay N50 million in damages to the victim of the 2019 assault. He has appealed the decision.
