Police uncover decomposing human parts in Ilora community

Human bones and a child’s school uniform were also seen in the building.

The Ilora community residents in Oyo have uncovered human parts in an uncompleted building.

The police spokesman in the state, Adewale Osifeso, confirmed the discovery on Wednesday. He said the police would provide an update on the matter.

The residents complained of an offensive odour oozing from a building on Oyo-Ilora Road in Oyo West local government area.

Residents who stumbled on the decomposing human remains in an uncompleted building reported to a police station in the area.

A resident, identified as Lanre, disclosed that some suspects had been arrested.

Mr Lanre also stated that an arm and other items, suggesting some people had probably been killed.

Another resident, who did not give his name, stated that human bones and a child’s school uniform were also seen in the building.

“Those living close to the site said they used to see a man riding a motorcycle to the place,” stated the resident. “They said the man used to work with a shovel in the building; they thought he was clearing debris but did not know he was carrying out criminal activities there.”
