The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun Command, on Friday confirmed the death of three persons in an accident that involved four vehicles near Danco Filling Station on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Ahmed Umar, the Sector Commander of FRSC, said in Ota, Ogun, that one person was injured in the accident.
Mr Umar said the accident, which occured at about 5:22 a.m., involved an Iveco truck with registration number SSU517XA, a Mark truck marked T 8493 LA and two other vehicles with no registration number.
The sector commander said that one of the vehicles lost control due to speeding and rammed into other three vehicles.
He said that nine male adults were involved in the incident in which three male adults died, while one other sustained injury.
“The corpses have been deposited at the morgue of Idera Hospital, Sagamu, while the injured victim refused to be taken to the hospital,” he said.
Mr Umar said the clearing of obstruction was ongoing by the FRSC personnel to ease the free flow of traffic, and cautioned motorists against speed violation to avoid unnecessary loss of life.
