Armed robbers attack Yinka Ayefele’s radio station in Ibadan

The brigands, numbering three, broke in around 6:00 a.m. during a live broadcast and carted away valuable items.

Armed robbers on Sunday invaded the Ibadan office of Fresh FM owned by popular musician, Yinka Ayefele. 

The brigands, numbering three, broke in around 6:00 a.m. during a live broadcast and carted away valuable items.

A staff of the radio station, Abolade Salami, during his program ‘Agbo Oselu’, narrated his ordeal.

He said robbers attacked staff on duty with weapons and forcefully collected their belongings.

Another staff member of the radio station, Kenny Ogunmiloro, corroborated his story on Twitter.

He said radio stations are not spared in the current porous level of insecurity in the county.

He said that phones, laptops,  ATM cards and other valuables were carted away by the robbers adding that no one was physically hurt by the robbers.

“Nowhere is safe again, not even radio stations are spared again in d porous level of insecurity in the country,” he tweeted.

“My radio station was robbed by 3 armed men this morning around 6.15 am. Phones, laptops, ATM cards, and gadgets were taken away but no one was hurt. This is sad.”
