Fire Service warns Nigerians against cooking accident during Easter festivities

ACTING CG FIRE CALLS ON NIGERIANS TO PRIORITIZE SAFETY DURING EASTER CELEBRATION.
The Acting Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, Dr Karebo Samson has called on Nigerians to prioritize safety during easter celebration.
The Ag. CGF while wishing Christian faithfuls a peaceful easter celebration in commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, tasked Christians to ensure diligent safety precautions while celebrating.
Dr. Karebo while acknowledging that there will be a lot of cooking related activities during the easter celebration asked that all cooking precautionary measures such as not leaving cooking unattended, keeping matches away from children, keeping the gas cylinder outside the kitchen etc must be complied with to avoid fire incidences.
The Acting Controller General who has directed all commands to be on red alert so as to ensure quick response to emergencies during the easter celebration called on citizens to make sure they have the emergency numbers handy and call the Service in a case of fire or any emergency.
