AAC unveils Oladele, Jaye as Oyo governorship candidate, running mate
The African Action Congress has unveiled Saheed Oladele as its 2027 governorship candidate in Oyo state and Damola Jaye as his running mate.
The party’s spokesman, Ismail Olalekan, disclosed this in a statement on Monday. Mr Oladele’s emergence followed rigorous internal processes and consultations within the party and with other stakeholders.
His candidacy reflects the party’s commitment to presenting a candidate who understands the aspirations of ordinary residents of Oyo state and is prepared to advance the party’s principles, according to the statement.
It described Oladele as a selfless leader whose candidacy was a much-awaited homecoming. He also described Oladele as a committed Nigerian and a people-focused leader and educationist of repute with exceptional achievements in youth development and public affairs.
According to the party, Mr Oladele and Ms Jaye represent an electoral platform focused on taking the state back from the shackles of modern slavery, abject poverty, educational retrogression, among others.
