ABS FC unveil 24 players for new NNL season

ABS Football Club of Ilorin on Friday unveiled 24 new players ahead of the 2021/2022 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
The club’s Director of Football, Alloy Chukwuemeka, told reporters during the unveiling that the club signed young players to boost their chances of returning to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Looking ahead of their game against Yobe Desert Stars of Damaturu on Match Day 1 in the 2021/2022 NNL, Chukwuemeka said the match would be tough.
”We are playing one of the biggest matches of week 1. Both teams have played in the NPFL before.
”But I can assure you that we are always ready. Our target is to play this season for a return to the NPFL.
“We take exceptional players at ABS FC, as the club does not sign old players or pensioners.
“We signed a bunch of young players as is evident in those we unveiled today,” he said.
“We recently whipped Aro United FC of Edo 14-0. That is to show the stuff the players are made of before the match against Yobe Desert Stars.”
Chukwuemeka disclosed that the deal between ABS FC and Top Sports Management comes with several packages, including a three-year kit sponsorship.
“The deal is mouth-watering in the sense that we are going to get a full package of a three-year kit sponsorship, training facilities, exposure of players abroad, as well as some cash backing.
“So, this is a good vista and will go a long way in helping the club to run professionally.
“The fans have been supportive to the team and they know the club does what is right professionally.
“So, I urge our fans to continue to conduct themselves well and the NPFL is our aim,” he said.
