Abuja lands Wike stole for his children must be revoked: Aisha Yesufu

Aisha Yesufu, a renowned social activist, has taken a swipe at the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, over the allocation of land to his children in highbrow areas of Abuja.
Ms Yesufu, in a video posted on YouTube, demanded that the lands stolen by Mr Wike for his children should be immediately revoked by the government.
Referencing an exclusive report by Peoples Gazette, she lamented the mindless corruption in the allocation of parcels of land in Abuja by Mr Wike to his children.
“Somebody must come out and revoke all these lands that were illegally given. We can’t continue to allow this corruption to go on,” she said.
“We cannot continue to allow this to happen. We are not slaves in this country,” the activist said in a 9-minute, 14-second video posted on Thursday.
The Gazette had, in an exclusive report backed with documents, exposed how Mr Wike prioritised allotments to his immediate family members, in violation of federal regulations prohibiting the abuse of public office for personal enrichment.
Documents reviewed by The Gazette showed Mr Wike, who recently completed his master’s degree in law at a UK college, as the beneficiary of at least 1,740 hectares of land worth $2.85 billion allocated over the past year, including pricey lands his minister father Nyesom Wike abruptly confiscated from original owners under his arcane pretext of non-compliance with land use regulations.
