Adamawa chief judge seeks prayers to enable judges deliver fair judgments
Justice Hafsatu Abdulrahman, the acting chief judge of Adamawa, on Saturday called for special prayers to enable judges to discharge their responsibilities in the administration of justice.
She made the call at a civic reception in honour of Justice Maxwell Pukuma in the Mijili community in the Hong Local Government Area of the state.
Ms Pukuma was recently appointed high court judge of Nigeria by the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).
Represented by Justice Kyanson, the chief judge appreciated community members for the gesture.
She said such prayers are key to success, hence the need for people to pray for judges to enable them to deliver successful judgments with all sincerity.
In his remarks, Nathan Musa, a former chief judge of the state, described the reception as an excellent way to celebrate Ms Pukuma’s successes.
Also, Adamu Suleiman, the acting district head of Gaya, community, also congratulated Ms Pukuma and advised her to follow in the footsteps of the former chief judge for more success.
