Adamawa: Tompolo mobilises support for Tinubu’s 2027 re-election

Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has mobilised support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, citing local government autonomy and other reforms.
Mr Tompolo, founder of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, made the call at the inauguration of the movement’s mobilisation activities in Adamawa on Monday.
Kestin Pondi, who represented Mr Tompolo, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja.
He described Mr Tinubu as a courageous leader who prioritised the interests of Nigeria and Nigerians, saying his decisions demonstrated a commitment to national development.
Mr Tompolo cited the removal of the fuel subsidy and the granting of financial autonomy to local governments as key reforms that reflected the President’s commitment to repositioning the country.
He urged Nigerians to exercise patience with the reforms, acknowledging that some measures were painful but expressing optimism that they would eventually yield positive results.
“The option for a better Nigeria is President Bola Tinubu,” he said.
The leader explained that the movement’s visit to Adamawa was aimed at formally launching its activities and mobilising grassroots support for MR Tinubu’s re-election.
According to him, the movement donated 35 vehicles to support its mobilisation and campaign activities across the state.
The national coordinator of the movement, Sunday Asuku, thanked Adamawa residents for their support for Mr Tinubu and urged them to sustain it ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Mr Asuku also called on residents to support Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s senatorial ambition and other candidates in the elections.
Speaking at the event, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Adamawa, Ahmed Aminu, commended Mr Tinubu for policies he said were repositioning the country for development.
He also acknowledged Mr Fintiri’s efforts to promote sustainable development in the state.
Similarly, Adamawa APC chairman, Hamza Madagali, expressed confidence in Mr Tinubu’s electoral prospects, citing Mr Fintiri’s leadership and development projects across the state.
In his remarks, Mr Fintiri declared Adamawa an Asiwaju state, expressing support for Mr Tinubu.
The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement said it would continue its grassroots mobilisation to promote support for the president ahead of the 2027 general elections.
